Appeals Council Review

This is a review that is conducted after the Hearing Notice of Decision has been received. Turnaround time is usually 14 business days.

The hearing decision will be reviewed with the exhibit file and, when available, the audio of the hearing.  I will go through the 5 step sequential evaluation process to identify possible arguments for errors made by the ALJ. I will also identify any potential technical errors made by the ALJ and any potential vocational expert or medical expert issues that could be cause for remand.

Medical Records Summary

Price will vary depending on the length of the records. Turnaround time is usually 5-7 business days.

Individual medical records are reviewed and summarized, including all complaints, objective medical evidence, imaging, surgeries, procedures, diagnoses and treatment.

Prehearing Brief

A summary of the facts of the case, severe impairments, supportive evidence, listing arguments (if applicable), limitations and applicable grid rules will be put in a brief format that can be submitted to the ALJ to provide an overview of the case and arguments that will be presented at hearing.

On The Record Request

Turnaround time is usually 7-10 business days.

A brief summary of the facts of the case, severe impairments, supportive evidence, listing arguments (if applicable), limitations and applicable grid rules; along with specific reasons why the case should be awarded without a hearing, will be put in a brief format that can be submitted to the ALJ in an effort to obtain a favorable decision prior to the hearing.

Appeals Council Brief

Turnaround time is usually 14 business days.

A persuasive brief that lists the potential errors made by the ALJ at hearing that would result in remand of the case for further review or an award of the case outright. This will include specific arguments for remand or award with Social Security Rulings, regulations, and evidence in the file to support each argument.
